Ethiopian plans Jakarta launch in June 2017; Chengdu service updates

Ethiopian Airlines in today’s schedule update (01DEC16) further revised planned operation for South East Asia, starting June 2017. Latest adjustment sees the airline opening reservations to Jakarta in Indonesia, 3 times a week via Bangkok.

Planned new 3 weekly Addis Ababa – Bangkok – Chengdu service, reported yesterday on Airlineroute, sees operational day and flight number changes. First flight is now scheduled on 03JUN17, instead of 02JUN17.

Ethiopian continues to serve 3 weekly Addis Ababa – Bangkok – Manila route with Boeing 787-8. As a result of latest adjustment, service to Bangkok is now showing increase from 7 to 9 weekly. Prior to this adjustment, schedule was displaying 6 weekly from 01JUN17. The airline does not have local traffic rights for Bangkok – Chengdu and Bangkok – Jakarta sector at present time.
