Ethiopian Airlines East Asia routing changes from June 2018

Ethiopian Airlines last week updated East Asia service in Northern summer 2018 season, including various routing changes for Bangkok, Hong Kong, Manila, Seoul and Tokyo. Planned routing changes will commence from June 2018.

Addis Ababa – Bangkok eff 01JUN18 7 weekly terminator service, as the airline no longer extends service to Manila 4 flights a week
Addis Ababa – Hong Kong eff 03JUN18 ET608/609 no longer extends to Tokyo. 3 weekly flights operated by A350 instead of 787-8
Addis Ababa – Hong Kong – Manila eff 01JUN18 Manila service operates via Hong Kong instead of Bangkok, A350 replaces 787-8. Hong Kong – Seoul sector is cancelled

Addis Ababa – Seoul Incheon – Tokyo Narita eff 02JUN18 4 weekly 787-8 service, replacing Addis Ababa – Hong Kong – Seoul and Addis Ababa – Hong Kong – Tokyo routing. Overall frequency for Tokyo increases from 3 to 4 weekly
