Aruba Airport “Highly Commended” for Excellence in Airport Marketing

In the category under 4 million passengers at Routes Americas

During an outstanding networking evening at Drai’s held at The Cromwell Las Vegas Hotel & Casino hosted by McCarran International Airport and Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, Aruba Airport was Highly Commended for Excellence in Airport Marketing in the category for airports under 4 Million passengers. The award was proudly received by AAA N.V.’s Air Service Development Manager, Mrs. Jo-Anne Arends and Mrs. Barbara Brown, Chief Commercial Officer AAA N.V.

Aruba Airport was short listed for the Airport Marketing award together with Bonaire International Airport, Curaçao International Airport, Regina International Airport (Canada), Skyxe – Saskatoon Airport (Canada). The annual Routes awards are highly regarded as the most valuable awards in the industry as they are voted for and judged by the airline network planning community. They provide the airline community with the chance to have their say as to which airport they think provides the best overall marketing services to them whether it be about their particular relationship, effective results, provision of data and information or innovative techniques to establish new or maintain and develop existing routes.

Over 650 aviation professionals were gathered to witness the presentation of the awards and to take part in the 9th Routes Americas – the largest route development event for the entire Americas.

The nominations and awards are an important benchmark for the airport to monitor how they are doing compared to the competition, since all airports go full swing nowadays to charm the airline industry. This award is a great way for the airport to have a credible recognition which they can proudly talk about to their customers and other stakeholders.

"This is a wonderful recognition once again of the achievement of our aviation marketing team over the past year. After having won last year in our category, to be continue to be recognised for our efforts by this industry's peers is highly satisfying and motivating to keep up the good work we are doing," said AAA N.V. CEO, James Fazio.
