With 7.4 million passengers in 2011, Marseille Provence Airport has been consolidating its fast growing traffic, which has increased by 20% since 2006.

2012 will see a continuation of this quick growth, with an additional 12% of increase in passenger volume expected, creating an all time high of 8.3 million passengers. Consequently, 1 million extra passengers will be travelling through Marseille Provence Airport this year, and 33 new scheduled routes - which were not operated in summer 2011 - have been announced for 2012 to domestic, European, North African and Middle Eastern destinations.
