About The Airline

Vueling, part of IAG, is a leading European low-cost airline with direct flights to more than 100 destinations in 30 countries in Europe, North Africa and the Middle East, providing long-haul connectivity for millions of passengers.

Founded in Barcelona in 2004, Vueling is key to connectivity in Spain, where it carried one in three passengers in 2022. The airline is also a leader at airports such as Barcelona Josep Tarradellas-El Prat, its main base, where almost one in two passengers flies with Vueling, and Bilbao, its second most important base in Spain.

It also has a strong presence in international markets, with bases at airports such as London Gatwick and Paris Orly. In France, it leads the Barcelona-Paris-Barcelona route and up to one in three passengers travelling from France to Spain chooses Vueling. In the United Kingdom, Vueling is the second largest operator between Spain and London Gatwick.

In terms of sustainability, and as part of IAG, Vueling is firmly committed to the environment and the decarbonisation of the sector in order to continue moving towards a more sustainable future for aviation. In fact, IAG was the first airline group to commit to achieving net zero CO2 emissions by 2050 through its Flight Path Net Zero programme.

In order to achieve net zero emissions, the airline is working hard to promote the use of sustainable aviation fuels (SAF), which offer an 80% reduction in CO2 emissions compared to conventional fuels. In fact, IAG has committed to operating 10% of its flights on SAF by 2030, well above the 6% required by the European Union.
