Direct Hanoi - Delhi route launched, accelerating connectivity with India’s 1.4-billion-strong market
The direct Hanoi - Delhi (HAN-DEL) service has been officially launched by Air India from May 2026, operating five weekly flights (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday) using Airbus A320neo aircraft configured with Business, Premium Economy and Economy classes.

As the operator of 21 airports nationwide, Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) continues to play a pivotal role in expanding Vietnam’s international connectivity network. Among these, Noi Bai International Airport serves as a key northern gateway, well-positioned to accommodate growing demand for new international routes.
The launch of the Hanoi–Delhi service enhances direct connectivity between Vietnam and India - one of the world’s largest markets with over 1.4 billion people, while supporting the growth of tourism, trade and bilateral investment.

India has emerged as one of Vietnam’s fastest-growing inbound markets. In 2025, Vietnam welcomed over 746,000 Indian visitors, up 48% year-on-year; in the first two months of 2026 alone, arrivals exceeded 158,400, marking a 71% increase compared to the same period last year. Strong growth across both leisure and business segments, particularly MICE travel, continues to create significant opportunities for further expansion of direct air services.
