Long Thanh International Airport project completes energization of primary power supply system

On 9 June 2026, the power supply system serving the Long Thanh International Airport project officially completed energization and was put into operation, marking an important milestone in the airport’s construction and commissioning process.

The successful energization includes the full operation of all 22kV feeder lines connecting the 110kV Long Thanh Airport Substation to the airport’s power receiving station, in accordance with the approved design. The work was carried out through close coordination between the Long Thanh International Airport Project Management Board and the local power utility.

As one of Vietnam’s most important national infrastructure projects, Long Thanh International Airport is being developed by Airports Corporation of Vietnam and is expected to become a major aviation hub for the country and the region. The completion of the primary power supply system provides a stable and reliable electricity source for testing, commissioning and the integrated operation of the airport’s technical infrastructure systems.

The milestone is expected to support the project’s overall construction schedule and facilitate the next phases of system testing and operational readiness. It also represents a significant step toward the goal of bringing Long Thanh International Airport into commercial operation by the end of 2026.
