Hanoi - Hangzhou route strengthens air connectivity between Vietnam and China
From 22 November 2026, a new nonstop route between Hanoi and Hangzhou is scheduled to commence operations, with four round-trip flights per week and a flight time of approximately three hours. The direct connection will provide greater convenience for travel between the two cities, supporting tourism, trade and exchanges between Vietnam and China.
Hangzhou, the capital of Zhejiang Province, is renowned for the scenic West Lake and its rich cultural and historical heritage. The city is also an important economic and technology hub in China, generating travel demand for both leisure and business purposes.

The expansion of air connectivity with Hangzhou comes as China remains an important market for Vietnam’s tourism sector. Direct flights help shorten travel times, improve access to destinations and facilitate two-way visitor flows, while creating further opportunities for trade and economic exchanges between the two markets.

For Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV), the expansion of international air routes helps strengthen connections between Vietnam’s airport network and key overseas markets, creating opportunities for passenger growth and more effective use of aviation infrastructure. The Hanoi–Hangzhou route adds another link between Vietnam and China, helping meet diverse travel needs and broaden opportunities for cooperation between the two markets.
