Wizz Air Expands Larnaka Airport Base with New Routes and Increased Capacity
Wizz Air, Larnaka Airport’s based airline, is further strengthening its presence at Larnaka (LCA) for the Summer 2026 season, building on its winter expansion with new destinations and increased frequencies across several established routes.
Wizz Air is introducing new routes from Larnaka for the summer season, most of which have already been launched during the winter schedule and will now continue through the peak summer period. The new services connect Larnaka with Barcelona, Bratislava, Varna, Tuzla, Tirana, Skopje, Timisoara, Venice, Gyumri, Suceava and Tirgu Mures, further enhancing direct connectivity between Cyprus and Southeast and Eastern Europe. The expansion supports both leisure travel and strong VFR demand.
In addition, frequencies will be increased on several key routes, including London Gatwick, Prague, Abu Dhabi, Bucharest, Budapest, Warsaw Radom, Katowice, Kutaisi and Yerevan, adding further capacity across the network.
The additional capacity is expected to further enhance connectivity between Cyprus and important European and regional markets, supporting inbound tourism while offering greater travel flexibility for residents.
The expansion reinforces continued airline confidence in the Cypriot market and highlights Larnaka Airport’s role as a key gateway connecting Cyprus, a popular leisure destination with major international destinations ahead of the peak summer season.
