Albatros Airlines is now officially operating from Aruba

With 3 daily Aruba-Las Piedras flights

During a cocktail celebration held at Aruba Airport’s Non-US Plaza, in front of Albatros Airlines’s new office, Aruba Airport Authority N.V. (AAA) officially welcomed Albatros Airlines on board.

Albatros Airlines was founded on December 27, 2007 and received their Airline  Operating Certificate  awarded by the Venezuelan National Institute of Civil Aviation on May 13, 2010. This AOC authorizes the airline to perform domestic and international commercial air transport services for passengers, cargo and mail out of Venezuela.

The airline has several international charter operations, including flights to Aruba, Curacao, Barranquilla-Colombia, Trinidad and Haiti, among others.

Albatros Airlines started operations into Aruba in December of 2014. They operate three daily flights from Aruba to Las Piedras at 09:30, 14:30 and 16:30. Their fleet used for the Aruba operations consist of a Cessna 208 (carrying 12 passengers) and an Embraer with a capacity to carry 30 passengers.

Mr. Carlos Montilla, Albatros Airline’s CEO was happy to announce that the airline has big plans for the future. These plans include new destinations that will be announced soon. Recently, the airline made the purchase of two Boeing aircraft to increase its fleet in order to improve and expand their air service network.

AAA CEO Mr. James Fazio was delighted to welcome the small airline in their new office space situated at the airport and looks forward to a strong partnership with Albatros that will lead to additional service in the near future.
