Frontier Airlines Launches Nonstop Service Between Atlanta and Aruba

New Saturday flight offers Arubans greater access to the southeastern U.S.

Aruba Airport Authority N.V. (AAA) is pleased to announce the successful arrival of Frontier Airlines’ inaugural flight from Atlanta (ATL) to Aruba (AUA) on Saturday, May 24, 2025. The new direct connection introduces a convenient and affordable travel option for the Aruban community.

The launch of the Atlanta service marks Frontier Airlines’ return to Aruba, following its previous operation out of Miami in 2021. This renewed presence complements the existing twice-daily Atlanta connection offered by Delta Air Lines and provides Arubans with additional options to connect to other U.S. cities through Frontier’s domestic network, including Cleveland, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, and Chicago.

Key Market Insights:

In 2024, Aruba Airport welcomed 1.11 million U.S. revenue-generating passengers, with 7% originating from Atlanta. As of March year-to-date 2025, Aruba has welcomed 306,000 U.S. revenue-generating passengers, with 9% originating from the Atlanta market, reflecting Atlanta’s growing importance as a gateway for travelers to Aruba.

The new route offers weekly Saturday service through August, providing Arubans with direct access to Atlanta, a major hub with extensive domestic and international connections.

“The demand for airlines to continue flying to Aruba remains very high,” stated the Minister of Tourism and Labor, Mr. Wendrick Cicilia, on the occasion of Frontier Airlines’ inaugural flight. “As a destination, we continue to ensure a strong balance between growth and quality. Many Caribbean islands are now using Aruba’s model as an example. This new Frontier flight demonstrates the interest of passengers who prefer Aruba over all other Caribbean destinations, and we are very proud of that.”

“We are thrilled to launch this service at AUA, offering affordable nonstop air travel from the mainland U.S. to the beautiful island paradise of Aruba,” said Josh Flyr, vice president of network and operations design, Frontier Airlines. “This new route is a win for both tourists looking to explore the island, as well as locals traveling to Atlanta or any of the other destinations we serve beyond.”

“We are proud to welcome Frontier Airlines back to Aruba,” said Jo-Anne Arends, Aviation Business Development Executive at AAA. “This new route further enhances our connectivity to the southeastern United States and beyond, providing the local community with more flexible options. It also supports our continued efforts to diversify air service and expand Aruba’s reach to new markets.”

In addition to benefiting local travelers, the service introduces Aruba to a broader segment of U.S. visitors from the Atlanta region and supports ongoing growth in the island’s tourism sector.

Flight Schedule:
