Aruba Airport Authority N.V. Hosts Stakeholder Session Honoring Immigration Aruba Team

Aruba Airport Authority N.V. (AAA) has brought together airport partners, government representatives and Immigration Aruba to align operational preparations ahead of the upcoming 2025–26 winter travel season, as airlines increase capacity and frequencies to the island.

The briefing provided stakeholders with an overview of upcoming network developments and the operational impact of a busier winter schedule. Airlines are set to add more than 400 additional flights between 1 November 2025 and 31 March 2026, underlining the need for close coordination across passenger processing and border control functions.

Upcoming air service developments include LATAM’s recently launched route to Bogotá, strengthening Aruba’s connectivity with Colombia. KLM will operate two additional weekly flights during the winter season, while Aerolíneas Argentinas will enter the market with five weekly services. Copa Airlines will further enhance connectivity via Panama City with three additional overnight frequencies starting in January.

From an operational standpoint, Immigration Aruba has processed approximately 2.8 million inbound and outbound passengers year-to-date, with passenger movements expected to reach around 3.3 million by the end of the year. Aruba Airport Authority highlighted the role of border operations as a critical component in maintaining efficient passenger flows during peak periods.

“Preparing for a demanding winter schedule requires alignment across the entire airport community,” said Jo-Anne Arends, Aviation Business Development Executive at Aruba Airport Authority. “Ensuring that all partners are informed of upcoming airline activity and operational requirements is key to maintaining service levels as volumes increase.”

Government representatives reiterated their support for Immigration Aruba and its role as the first point of contact for arriving passengers. AAA also provided an update on its airport expansion programme, outlining progress on infrastructure enhancements designed to support future traffic and improve processing efficiency. In addition, Aruba Tourism Authority shared insights into destination strategy and upcoming tourism initiatives.

Aruba Airport Authority said continued collaboration between airport stakeholders, airlines and government partners will remain central to ensuring smooth operations throughout the winter season, as Aruba continues to strengthen its air connectivity across North America, Europe and Latin America.
