LATAM Airlines Expands Lima–Aruba Service to Daily Flights Starting April 2026

Air connectivity between Aruba and South America continues to grow as LATAM Airlines increases its Lima (LIM) – Aruba (AUA) service from five weekly flights to daily operations starting in April 2026.

The expanded service further strengthens Aruba’s connection with the Peruvian market while improving access to LATAM’s broader South American network.

The increase represents two additional weekly flights, adding 348 extra seats per week from Lima to Aruba. With this expansion, the route will offer more than 1,200 weekly seats each way, representing an approximately 40% year-over-year increase in seat capacity between Lima and Aruba in 2026.

On an annual basis, the additional frequencies will generate over 18,000 additional seats in the Peru–Aruba market, supporting continued visitor growth from South America and reinforcing Aruba’s position as a leading Caribbean destination for travelers from the region.

Operated with Airbus A320 aircraft, the route connects Aruba with LATAM’s hub in Lima, providing convenient one-stop access to several major cities across South America including Santiago, Buenos Aires, Montevideo, and Quito.

“LATAM’s decision to expand the Lima–Aruba route to daily flights reflects the strong demand for travel between Peru and Aruba,” said Jo-Anne Arends, Aviation Business Development Executive at Aruba Airport. “This increase strengthens Aruba’s air connectivity with South America and demonstrates the continued confidence airlines have in our destination.”

“For Aruba, the commercial relationship with LATAM Airlines is important. As a legacy airline, they transport a high-value segment of travelers across the Latin American region, reinforcing the strategic importance of this connection with the Peruvian, Chilean, Argentinean and Brazilian markets. Daily frequency will make this connectivity stronger, further strengthening Aruba’s relationship with the region and contributing towards global diversification,” said Ronella Croes, CEO of the Aruba Tourism Authority.

Strengthening Partnerships at Routes Americas 2026

The announcement follows recent meetings between Aruba Airport Authority, Aruba Tourism Authority, and LATAM Airlines during Routes Americas 2026 in Rio de Janeiro, the region’s leading air service development forum where airlines, airports, and tourism authorities collaborate to expand global connectivity.

During the event, LATAM Airlines Group received the Airline Partnership Award, recognizing the airline’s strong collaboration with Aruba Airport and tourism partners in successfully developing and growing connectivity. The award highlights LATAM’s commitment to strategic partnerships, sustained route performance, and joint initiatives that stimulate passenger demand.

The continued growth of the Lima–Aruba route reflects the strong partnership between LATAM Airlines, Aruba Airport Authority, and Aruba Tourism Authority in expanding connectivity between Aruba and South America.

Expanding South American Connectivity

LATAM Airlines Group is the largest airline group in Latin America, serving more than 160 destinations across nearly 30 countries worldwide. Through its hubs in Lima, Santiago, São Paulo, and Bogotá, the airline provides extensive connectivity across South America and to destinations throughout the Americas, Europe, and beyond.

The move to daily year-round service further supports Aruba’s strategy to strengthen air connectivity and expand its reach within the South American market while reinforcing Queen Beatrix International Airport’s role in connecting Aruba with key international markets.
