Ryanair Announce Four New Routes
New Ryanair winter routes announced for Birmingham Airport.
Ryanair has announced four new routes for winter 2012 from Birmingham, to Barcelona (El Prat), Krakow, Milan (Bergamo) and Palma De Mallorca starting in November.
Ryanair will grow its winter 2012 Birmingham schedule to 18 routes, which will deliver over 1.5m passengers a year, sustaining 1,500 'on site' jobs at Birmingham Airport.
Paul Kehoe, CEO of Birmingham Airport, said: “I’m certain this news will be welcomed in the Midlands as it means that people can use their local airport rather than having to travel outside the region to fly. Ryanair is an important customer of Birmingham Airport and we’re delighted that the carrier has placed even more confidence in the region by adding further routes to its current Birmingham operation.”
