Twice-weekly services to the North African destination will operate from Birmingham Airport throughout Summer 2027.

Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have announced the launch of flights and holidays to Tunisia from Birmingham Airport for Summer 2027, further strengthening the airport's growing leisure network and reinforcing its position as one of the UK's leading regional gateways.

The new service will operate twice weekly, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, between 1 May and 30 October 2027, offering customers across the Midlands convenient access to one of North Africa's most popular holiday destinations. The programme comes in response to strong demand from holidaymakers and independent travel agents, and provides access to a wide range of resorts including Hammamet, Port El Kantaoui, Sousse, Mahdia, Skanes, and Yasmine Hammamet.

The announcement represents another milestone in Birmingham Airport's continued growth. Having welcomed a record 13.7 million passengers in 2025, Birmingham Airport now serves 145 direct destinations and provides onward connectivity to more than 650 destinations worldwide. The airport supports around 1.6 million business passengers annually and serves a catchment of over 9 million people within one hour, making it one of the UK's largest and most diverse aviation markets.

Jet2 continues to play a major role in that growth. The addition of Tunisia means the airline and tour operator will serve 68 destinations from Birmingham Airport during Summer 2027, with Tunisia joining a growing list of new destinations including Bergerac, Hurghada, Jersey, Kavala (Thassos), and Sharm el Sheikh.

The latest expansion further demonstrates the strength of demand across the Midlands and Birmingham Airport's ability to support airline growth. With available capacity, a £300 million investment programme underway, and one of the largest catchments in Europe, Birmingham Airport continues to provide airlines with the opportunity to grow sustainably while offering customers and travel agents an ever-expanding choice of destinations.
