Fiji Restarts Christchurch
Border Changes Encourage the Return of the Overseas Vacation
Starting 14th March Fiji Airways will restart scheduled services to Christchurch Airport. Using the new Boeing 737MAX, the airline will resume twice weekly services after a nearly two year suspesion.
Fiji is a huge draw for South Islanders looking to relax in the warmth, yet Fiji is only a three hour flight from Christchurch Airport. Pre-Covid Christchurch Airport handled six weekly flights to Nadi Airport, with Air New Zealand offering three weekly Airbus 320 services.
And it is great news for our travel agent community; they finally have products to sell after hibernating during our border closure programme.
