The route marks TPA's first daily year-round service to the Dominican Republic
Consistent with Tampa International Airport's recent strong growth in service to Latin America and the Caribbean, JetBlue inaugurated daily year-round nonstop service to Punta Cana on 18 December, 2025.
Seasonally, Frontier has been serving both Punta Cana and Santo Domingo 2-3x weekly from TPA, but JetBlue's new flight marks the first daily year-round service from Tampa to the Dominican Republic.
"We expect this new service will help meet the strong demand we see for both VFR and leisure travelers going to and from PUJ," said TPA Director of Air Service Development Alex Heiter. "The Tampa Bay market remains underserved to Latin America and the Caribbean overall, but recently we've seen several airllines begin recognizing those opportunities and we're not surprised they are meeting with success."
Earlier in 2025, Avianca began 4x weekly nonstop service between Tampa and Bogota, but has already expanded to daily service. Likewise, Copa recently expanded its flights to Panama City (PTY) to 12x weekly.
JetBlue's TPA PUJ route will be operated with an A320.
