Valletta celebrated its birthday yesterday as its foundation stones were laid there on 28th March 1566 - 450 years ago!
The Capital city is proudly a UNESCO World Heritage Site and has played a crucial role in the long and illustrious history of Malta.
Valletta boasts some of Europe's finest art works, churches, theatres and palaces - there are endless sites to explore with intriguing baroque buildings round every corner.
