Bratislava Airport: 47 direct scheduled routes available this summer

BRATISLAVA – New airline Cyprus Airways with regular flights to Larnaca and double-daily flights to Antalya with Smartwings are among the key highlights on offer from Bratislava this summer. As many as 47 regular connections to 41 destinations in 18 countries will be served from Bratislava M. R. Stefanik Airport in S19 season.

The new carrier Cyprus Airways enters with double-weekly connection between Bratislava and Larnaca with flights starting on 8th June. Cyprus Airways brings additional capacity on the route, complementing the offer of Smartwings, as together they will service Larnaca seven times a week from Bratislava.

And it is for the first time in the history of the airport, that Antalya will be served as a regular scheduled route. Traditionally a successful charter is transforming into double-daily seasonal route. Turkey, which enjoys the position of the most popular summer country destination from Bratislava, will now have two regular connections, the already mentioned double-daily to Antalya and a one-weekly to Dalaman operated by Ryanair.

Ryanair also returns with two weekly flights to Eindhoven, which was suspended for winter. And on the top of the S18 schedule, this year´s network is larger by Lviv (operated by Wizz Air) and Kiev-Borispil (operated by Ryanair).

There will be six destinations served by two competing operators, namely Bourgas, Larnaca, Corfu, Mallorca, Kiev and London.

The total of 7 airlines offer scheduled routes from Bratislava Airport this S19 season. They are: Ryanair (with 26 routes – historic maximum since its entry to Bratislava in 2005), Smartwings (11 seasonal routes between May and October), Wizz Air (5 routes), Air Cairo (2 routes) and flydubai, Pobeda and Cyprus Airways (1 route each).

Around 2 800 charter flights are planned between May and October heading to the most popular summer vacation spots in Greece, Turkey, Egypt, Italy, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Spain, Israel, Albany or Cape Verdes from Bratislava.
