Ryanair Announces Another New Route from Bratislava: Girona Joins Chania for Summer 2027

Ryanair continues to expand its summer 2027 network from Bratislava Airport, announcing another new route for the upcoming season. In addition to its brand-new service to Chania on the Greek island of Crete, the airline will launch direct flights from Bratislava to Girona, near Barcelona, starting on 1 June 2027.

While the new route to Chania, Crete, will take off on 28 March 2027, marking the start of the summer flight schedule, flights to Girona will commence on 1 June 2027, just in time for the peak summer holiday season.

The new Girona service will operate twice weekly, on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Tickets are on sale from today via Ryanair's website, mobile app and authorised travel agents.

Located in Catalonia, approximately 100 km from Barcelona, Girona offers travellers another gateway to one of Spain's most popular regions. Ryanair already operates direct flights from Bratislava to Barcelona's main airport, Barcelona–El Prat, which is also served by Wizz Air. With daily departures, Barcelona is among the most popular scheduled destinations from Bratislava Airport.

Alicja Wójcik-Gołębiowska, Head of Communications for CEE & Baltics, said:

“We are delighted to announce our new route from Bratislava to Barcelona Girona for Summer ’27, further strengthening our growing network in Bratislava. This exciting addition underlines our commitment to expanding much-desired routes and offering our Slovak customers even more choice for their summer holidays.”
