About The Airport
Perth Airport welcomed 16.1 million passengers to Perth, Western Australia YE Jun 2024 (4.3mil International pax). Top markets are: Indonesia (824K pax), UK (460K pax) and Singapore (410K pax). Fastest growing markets unserved by a direct service are: India (+8.8% to 143K pax), Japan (+13.1% to 137K pax) and Philippines (80K pax). Perth Airport has a close partnership with Tourism WA, promoting Western Australia as an attractive destination for overseas visitors, with a strong focus on working with our airline partners to increase the number of passengers travelling to/from Western Australia.
Perth Airport is open 24/7 and shares the same timezone as China and much of South-East Asia. Perth Airport is well-located as the western gateway to Australia, with shorter distances providing greater economic value for airlines accessing Australia from regions such as West Asia-Africa, South-Asian Sub-continent, South-east Asia, North Asia and Europe. Perth Airport is the only Australian hub offering direct services from Perth to London.
A $5billion investment program will bring all flight services into the Airport Central precinct, with a new parallel runway, new terminals facilities, two multi-storey carparks with associated roadworks, an upgrade of Terminal 2, and the airport’s first hotel by 2031.
This will transform the face of Perth Airport and deliver the long-awaited “one airport” for Western Australian travellers.
