Following the earthquake in Christchurch, Wellington Airport issued the following statement:
Thank you to all of Wellington and the greater region for your offers of accommodation and support to those who need accommodation at Wellington Airport.
We have now had hundreds of accommodation offers and need no more as we have now housed everyone.
Thank you for your generosity. All of our thoughts are with Christchurch.
