About The Airport

Regina Airport Authority Inc. (RAA) is a not-for-profit corporation that assumed operations of Regina International Airport (YQR) from Transport Canada in 1999. YQR has strong air service to domestic, transborder and international seasonal destinations. As YQR continues to welcome increased passenger numbers enabled by a strong economy, there is demand for increased capacity on existing routes, in addition to future route development in all three sector opportunities: domestic, transborder and international.

As of November 2014, YQR reported a 3.1% increase in passenger traffic from January - November of 2013, and in excess of 1.14 million passengers.

Located in the heart of the Queen City - Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada - Regina International Airport continues to have steady growth and the economy is predicted to remain one of Canada's leading economies for the next several years. To address these increasing demands, RAA continues with a proactive capital program to meet the current and future demands of its users. In 2014, rehabilitation of Apron 1 was completed and will increase the life of the apron by another 20 years.
