Operating twice-weekly from November 2026

easyJet has put flights and package holidays on sale from Newcastle Airport to Marrakech, Morocco.

The new route will take off on 3 November 2026 and will operate twice a week on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

easyJet opened its 11th UK base at Newcastle Airport in March 2026, supporting 1,200 jobs and creating 140 direct jobs for pilots and crew.

The base opening has enabled the airline to more than double the number of destinations on its Newcastle network, providing more choice for customers in the North East of England, Southern Scotland, North Yorkshire and Cumbria.

This includes new routes to Antalya, Corfu, Dalaman, Enfidha, Faro, Lisbon, Malta, Nice, Prague, Reus, Rhodes, Rome, Sharm-El-Sheikh, Tenerife and now Marrakech.

Leon McQuaid, Director of Aviation Development at Newcastle Airport, said:  "It's fantastic that easyJet is continuing to invest in Newcastle Airport, with great value flights and package holidays to Marrakech this winter.

“The airline’s new base is providing even more choice for our passengers, with 23 destinations now on sale, while also delivering significant economic benefits for the North East through the creation of high-quality jobs and by attracting more inbound visitors.

“We’re confident easyJet's new route to Marrakech will be hugely popular with passengers and we look forward to celebrating when the first flight takes off in November.”

Kevin Doyle, easyJet’s UK Country Manager, said: “We are thrilled to be launching a new route and package holidays from Newcastle Airport to Marrakech, providing our customers in the North East with another direct connection to North Africa.

“With 23 destinations now on sale from our Newcastle base, we are providing more choice and great value fares, while making it easier for people to travel to a wide range of destinations from their local airport.”
