As per 27MAR13 GDS timetable and inventory display, Air India is extending Boeing 787 replacement schedule until 30APR13 inclusive. Planned replacement operation from 31MAR13 to 30APR13 as follow.
Delhi – Frankfurt Boeing 777-300ER replaces Boeing 787
Delhi – London Heathrow AI115/116 Boeing 777-200LR replaces Boeing 787
Delhi – Paris CDG Boeing 777-200LR replaces Boeing 787. From 16APR13 to 30APR13, Boeing 777-300ER replaces 787
In addition, the airline has updated its domestic schedule, which sees Boeing 787 operation tentatively resuming from 01MAY13. From 01APR13 to 30APR13, following domestic service will be operated by replacement aircraft instead of 787:
Delhi – Bangalore* (AI803/505) / Delhi – Chennai (AI439/430) Service operates as Delhi – Chennai – Bangalore – Delhi with A330
Delhi – Kolkata AI020/701 Airbus A330-200
*Tentative schedule from 01MAY13 shows Boeing 787 operates once a day. Prior to grounding, AI operated twice daily
As a result of aircraft redeployment, following services also affected from 31MAR13 to 30APR13:
Delhi – Tokyo Narita Service reduces from 5 weekly to 3 weekly, 777-200LR operating (Reduction extended till 30APR13)
