Dublin Traffic Up 7% In 2014 First Half

Passenger numbers rose 7% to just under 10 million in first half of 2014

Passenger numbers at Dublin Airport rose 7% to just under 10 million during the first half of 2014.

The latest monthly figures show a 6% increase in June traffic, compared to the same month a year previously, to more than 2.1 million.

Almost 1.2 million passengers travelled on routes to and from continental Europe in June, a 4% rise.

Nearly 640,000 passengers took flights to and from the UK, also a 4% increase.

June transatlantic traffic increased by 15%, with just under 245,000 people travelling

Other international traffic, including flights to the Middle East and North Africa, increased by 12% to almost 51,000 passengers.

The number of passengers on domestic flights was up 3% in June to more than 6,000 people.
