DUBLIN welcomes AER LINGUS route to CORNWALL

 Dublin Airport has the announcement by Aer Lingus Regional that it is to operate services to Newquay in Cornwall from May 1 2015

Dublin Airport and   Aer Lingus Regional announce that it is to operate services to Newquay in Cornwall from May 1 next.

Airport Managing Director Vincent Harrison said he was delighted to welcome Aer Lingus Regional’s new service to Newquay, which will be the airline's thirteenth service from Dublin.

“Cornwall is a very popular tourist destination and I’m sure this new direct service will prove popular both with Irish people holidaying in Cornwall and with Cornish residents visiting Ireland for business and pleasure,” he said.

“This new route will also offer a convenient transatlantic connection via Dublin for passengers in the south-west of England and we’ll be working closely with Stobart Air to promote this new service and the enhanced connectivity that it brings in both Ireland and Britain.”

The seaside town of Newquay is located on the South West coast of England on the Cornish coast. With beautiful beach and trail walks, as well as great surfing, Cornwall is a particularly attractive destination for passengers seeking leisure and active breaks.

Stobart Air Managing Director Julian Carr said he was confident that the Newquay service would prove popular with customers.

"The addition of Newquay reflects the ongoing success of our airline in providing value and key connections for our customers. Cornwall and South West England have a great deal to offer, maintaining their own unique culture and history through numerous heritage and leisure sites, arts and language festivals, and varied cuisine.”

Flights from will operate four times per week initially, increasing to five times per week during the busy summer months from June 27 to September 5, 2015. Dublin Airport wishes Aer Lingus Regional every success with this new service.
