SAS starts a new direct route to Madeira from Stockholm Arlanda Airport in for the period of winter/spring of 2017/2018. The Portuguese island is very popular among Swedes and has a pleasant climate throughout the year with a fantastic nature. The departures from Stockholm will be on Saturdays from 28th October to 28th April. 

- We are glad to offer travellers an additional destination from Stockholm Arlanda.We have about 20 000 charter Swedish passengers travelling to Madeira every year, and now they will be able to fly direct from Stockholm Arlanda. We see a steadily growing interest in Portugal and are pleased that SAS is adding another Portuguese destination in addition to their seasonal route to Lisbon, says Elizabeth Axtelius, Aviation Business Director at Swedavia.

SAS will fly to and from the Portuguese island of Madeira on Saturdays between 28th October 2017 and 28th April2018. The route is scheduled to be operated with one of SAS' new Airbus A320neo, with SAS' new cabin, and 15-18% lower emissions.
