Cam Ranh International Terminal - Cam Ranh Internation lAirport (CXR) – A Rising Gateway of Southeast Asia
Strategically located on Vietnam’s South Central Coast, Cam Ranh International Airport serves the vibrant coastal cities of Nha Trang and Cam Ranh. Known as one of the fastest-growing airports in Southeast Asia, CXR handled 9.7 million passengers in 2019. After the COVID-19 pandemic, the airport is steadily recovering, reaching 4.4 million passengers in 2024— approx. 70% of pre-pandemic levels.
The International Passenger Terminal (T2), operated by Cam Ranh International Terminal Joint Stock Company (CRTC), began operations in June 2018. Designed with a unique architectural concept inspired by Khanh Hoa’s iconic swallow nests and Nha Trang’s ocean waves, T2 is equipped with modern facilities including a state-of-the-art Terminal Operations Center.
Currently, over 25 airlines operate at CXR, connecting Vietnam with key markets such as China, South Korea, Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Thailand, Malaysia, and Poland. With strong market demand and renewed momentum, the terminal is planning to expand its capacity from 4.5 million passengers per annum (MPPA) to 8–10 MPPA by 2030, aiming to meet future growth and enhance passenger experience.
Cam Ranh continues to position itself as a premier aviation gateway, offering seamless access to one of Vietnam’s top beach destinations—renowned for its year-round sunshine, scenic coastline, and diverse tourism offerings.
