Wingo Expands Aruba Network with New Services from Bucaramanga and Barranquilla
Wingo has announced two new routes to Queen Beatrix International Airport (AUA), further strengthening Aruba’s connectivity with Colombia and the wider Latin American market.
The airline will introduce a seasonal service from Bucaramanga (BGA) starting in June 2026, operating 2x weekly flights during the summer period. In addition, Wingo will launch a new route from Barranquilla (BAQ) in July 2026, which is scheduled to operate year-round through the remainder of 2026, also with 2x weekly frequencies.
These new additions further expand Wingo’s presence in Aruba, where the airline currently accounts for approximately 17% of total seat capacity from Latin America. The introduction of Bucaramanga and Barranquilla services is expected to add approximately 9,500 additional seats from the region during the summer season.
With the addition of Bucaramanga and Barranquilla, Aruba will now be connected to five gateways in Colombia, further strengthening connectivity with the country. Colombia currently represents approximately 48% of total seat capacity from Latin America at AUA.
Bucaramanga represents a new catchment area for Aruba, while Barranquilla strengthens access from Colombia’s Caribbean coast. The seasonal Bucaramanga service aligns with peak summer demand, while Barranquilla’s year-round operation reflects more consistent travel demand from the northern Colombian market.
The expansion aligns with broader capacity growth from Latin America, which continues to play an increasing role in Aruba’s overall traffic mix. With these additions, Wingo continues to strengthen its network to Aruba and its role within the Latin American market.
