Double success at the Outstanding Security Performance Awards (OSPAs)

Two awards at this year's Outstanding Security Performance Awards (OSPAs) went to Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) and its partners: Oliver Braun, Head of Airport Security at Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH (FBB), was honoured in the category ‘Outstanding Security Manager In-House’. Together with KÖTTER Aviation Security, the BER security team also received the award in the category ‘Outstanding Security Partnership’.

The OSPAs are among the most internationally renowned awards in the security industry and recognise excellence, innovation and leadership in security management.

Strong together in the crisis

The award recognised the exceptional cooperation between BER Airport and KÖTTER Aviation Security, which took over security services at the capital region's airport within a few days in the summer of 2024 – a feat made possible by mutual trust, transparency and the highest level of professionalism. Together, the two teams not only successfully mastered the challenge, but also set new standards in quality and cooperation. The smooth transition, the rapid integration of over 300 employees and the successful completion of the audit by National Quality Assurance Agency (Nationale Qualitätssicherungsstelle – NQS) are examples of excellence and partnership on an equal footing.
