Eurowings significantly expands its operations at BER

Three new capital cities, more holiday destinations and fleet expansion

Eurowings is significantly expanding its operations at Berlin Brandenburg Airport in the 2026 summer flight schedule. The Lufthansa subsidiary is expanding its route network to include three attractive capital city connections to London, Lisbon and Sarajevo, and adding three new holiday destinations to its programme: Olbia, Naples and Kavala. Non-stop connections from BER to Sarajevo and Kavala will, therefore, be available for the first time. In addition, the airline is increasing the frequency of flights to popular destinations such as Palma de Mallorca, Stockholm, Zurich, Split, Bilbao, Faro, Helsinki and Larnaca. With 43 destinations in 20 countries in total, the Eurowings 2026 summer flight schedule offers more choice and seating capacity for BER than ever before.

The fleet stationed at BER also continues to grow. Eurowings is adding two aircraft to expand its base to nine aircraft in total. This will enable the airline to lay the foundations for an expanded route network and higher flight frequencies in the coming season.

“We are delighted about the significant expansion of Eurowings’ services at BER. By way of the two additional aircraft stationed there, Eurowings is reaffirming its clear commitment to the Berlin-Brandenburg capital region. This step underlines the attractiveness of the location and our close strategic partnership with the airline,” says Aletta von Massenbach, Chief Executive Officer of Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH.

“The measures decided by the German federal government are helping us stabilise and, in part, expand our range of flights to other European countries. This is particularly the case in Berlin. Thanks to our connections to London, Lisbon, and Sarajevo, as well as other attractive destinations, we are strengthening our presence in the capital. We are consciously investing in the BER location because we see the region’s potential and want to offer the people of Berlin and Brandenburg an even more diverse European network,” says Jens Bischof, CEO of Eurowings.
