Breeze is adding two more destinations from Tampa

With two more route additions, the fast-growing airline will now serve 23 nonstop destinations from Tampa

In late March, Breeze Airways announced two more nonstop routes from Tampa International Airport, including one brand-new destination for the airport. TPA travelers will have a new option to reach the Pine Tree State this October when Breeze begins nonstop service to Bangor, Maine.

The route to BGR will operate Mondays and Fridays beginning October 4, connecting the region to TPA for the first time. Bangor is known for its rich history, particularly as the inspirational setting for many of author Stephen King's novels and for its vibrant arts scene, and as a gateway to nearby attractions such as Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Breeze began a route to Portland, the state's largest city, last May.

Breeze is also adding nonstop roundtrip flights on Mondays and Fridays to Pensacola in Florida's panhandle. Those flights begin June 28. The route also is currently served by Silver AIrways.

“We're elated to add this first-ever nonstop service to Bangor, another great Maine destination Breeze Airways is offering after launching its successful route to Portland in 2023," Airport CEO Joe Lopano said. "Combined with a new route to Pensacola, Breeze continues to grow its network and bring exciting, new connections for our TPA travelers."

The route to Bangor will use Breeze’s Airbus A220-300 aircraft which feature the airline’s Nice, Nicer and Nicest fare bundles that range from economy (Nice); premium economy with an extra legroom seat and a checked and carry-on bag (Nicer); and on Nicest, a reclining Breeze Ascent seat, two checked bags, priority boarding and complimentary snacks and beverages, including alcohol. For travel to Pensacola, the airline will use their Airbus A220-300 aircraft and their smaller Embraer jets.

“We’re thrilled to announce two more routes to our expanding network from Tampa,” Breeze Airways’ President Tom Doxey said. “With Breeze’s added convenience and affordability, our business model continues to see success in cities across the country like Tampa."

The addition of Bangor and Pensacola brings the total number of nonstop routes Breeze flies from TPA to 23 different destinations.
