The airline will add TPA's first-ever nonstop flights to Dallas/McKinney, Texas (DTX), and Charlotte/Concord, North Carolina (USA), this November.

Announced on Tuesday, 30 June, Avelo Airlines will add Tampa International Airport's first-ever nonstop flights to Dallas/McKinney, Texas (DTX), and Charlotte/Concord, N.C. (USA) beginning later this year.

Service to Dallas/McKinney is scheduled to begin 19 November, followed by flights to Charlotte/Concord launching 20 November.

The McKinney route brings Tampa Bay residents closer to the heart of North Texas, an important economic region. McKinney National Airport is conveniently located near Dallas and its northern suburbs, making it an ideal gateway for leisure and business travelers alike. Upon arrival, passengers can quickly reach major corporate centers and entertainment destinations across the Metroplex.

Concord-Padgett Regional Airport is just minutes from Charlotte Motor Speedway and the vibrant Charlotte metropolitan area, a hub for banking, motorsports and southern charm. From there, travelers will find easy access to professional sports, world-class dining and the scenic Great Smoky Mountains, all within a short drive of the airport.

These new routes are part of Avelo’s continued growth at TPA, offering affordable and convenient travel options to some of the fastest-growing regions in the country. Known for its low fares, Avelo is a favorite among budget-conscious travelers.

Avelo Airlines first began flying at Tampa International Airport in late 2021. Since then, the airline has grown and currently serves three destinations at TPA: New Haven, CT; Wilmington, DE; and Wilmington, N.C.

Avelo’s expansion at TPA underscores its commitment to connecting smaller, more accessible airports with major metropolitan areas, reducing travel time and airport congestion for passengers.
