Almaty International Airport (ALA) is Kazakhstan’s busiest airport and the largest airport in Central Asia. Serving Kazakhstan’s largest city and economic centre, ALA is the main base of Air Astana and a key aviation hub along the modern Silk Road. The airport handled 11.9 million passengers in 2025.
