Aerosvit Further Downsizes Operation from late-Jan 2013

Ukrainian carrier Aerosvit continues to downsize its operation, which sees following adjustment.

Planned Cancellation:
Kiev – Bangkok Cancelled from 01FEB13 (BKK from 02FEB13)
Kiev – Shanghai Pu Dong Planned service resumption from May 2013 is cancelled

The airline has cancelled following routes since last report on 11JAN13. Most of these flights were cancelled gradually between 15JAN13 and 22JAN13:
Kiev – Goa
Kiev – Ho Chi Minh
Kiev – Istanbul
Kiev – Moscow Sheremetyevo
Kiev – St. Petersburg
Kiev – Tashkent
Kiev – Yerevan
Odessa – Istanbul

The airline continues to operate following long-haul service with reduced frequencies:
Kiev – Beijing (Reservation closed on/after 31MAR13)
Kiev – New York JFK (Reservation is closed)
Kiev – Toronto (Based on the airline’s web booking, service is tentatively cancelled and to resume from 23APR13, however this is not listed in the GDS)

The airline also operates a number of limited domestic service. Situation with the carrier remains fluid, therefore further changes are highly possible.
