Air India Delays Boeing 787 Service Resumption till late-May 2013

As per 01MAY13 GDS timetable/inventory display, Air India is delaying planned Boeing 787 service resumption until 22MAY13 for domestic service, 01JUN13 for European operation. The airline previously planned Dreamliner service resumption from 16MAY13.

Latest planned Boeing 787 resumption date as follow.

*Delhi – Bangalore eff 24MAY13 AI803/505 (Previously to resume from 17MAY13)
*Delhi – Chennai eff 24MAY13 AI439/430 (Previously to resume from 17MAY13)
Delhi – Kolkata eff 22MAY13 AI020/701 (A321 replaces 787 until 21MAY13; Planned 787 service resumption date unchanged)

* Until 23MAY13, AI803/505 and AI439/430 will be combined as AI439 Delhi – Chennai – Bangalore – Delhi, on board Airbus A330-200 aircraft

From 01JUN13, Boeing 787 resumes European operation on following routes, instead of 16MAY13:
Delhi – Frankfurt 1 daily
Delhi – London Heathrow AI115/116 1 daily
Delhi – Paris CDG 1 daily

Boeing 777-200LR (Frankfurt, London) and -300ER (Paris CDG) aircraft continues operation until 31MAY13.

In addition to Airline Route‘s report on 30APR13, Air India’s Mumbai – Chennai – Singapore Boeing 747-400 operation will be extended till 31MAY13 (SIN departure 01JUN13).

Planned Boeing 787 operational routes, flights, and planned resumption dates remain subject to further changes.
