JAL Group carriers starting 01AUG16 enhances Ryukyu Islands operation, as Japan TransOcean Air (JTA) and Ryukyu Air Commuter (RAC) expands new aircraft (Boeing 737-800 for JTA, Dash8-Q400COMBI for RAC) operation.
Japan TransOcean Air (JTA) will begin: Boeing 737-800 operation on Okinawa – Nagoya Chubu route, operating on 1 of 4 daily flights, replacing the 737-400.

From 01AUG16, expanded JTA 737-800 operation as follow (previously reported on 20MAY16):
Miyakojima – Tokyo Haneda 1 daily (New 737-800 operating route)
Okinawa – Miyakojima 737-800 operation increases from 1 to 3 daily (NU559/560, NU565/564, NU573/556)
Planned 737-800 operation on Okinawa – Ishigaki is now scheduled until 31JUL16, once a day. Previously planned 2 daily flights from 01AUG16 is cancelled, and will be operated by 737-400 instead. JTA also operates 737-800 on Okinawa – Fukuoka route twice a day (NU050/053, NU060/065).
For Ryukyu Air Commuter (RAC), the new Dash8-Q400COMBI will begin operating following service
Okinawa – Kitadaito – Minamidaito – Okinawa 4 weekly
Okinawa – Minamidaito – Kitadaito – Okinawa 3 weekly
Okinawa – Yonaguni 1 daily
On existing routes, expanded Dash8-Q400COMBI operation includes:
Ishigaki – Yonaguni Q400 operation increases from 1 to 2 daily, out of 3 daily flights
Okinawa – Kumejima Q400 operation increases from 2 to 3 daily, out of 6 daily flights
RAC also operates Q400COMBI on following routes:
Okinawa – Amami-Oshima 1 daily
Okinawa – Ishigaki 1 daily
