Khanh Hoa towards the vision of "Vietnam's City of Photography": A strategic lever for the cultural industry
Possessing outstanding advantages in natural landscapes and rich heritage, Khanh Hoa stands before a massive opportunity to become a leading regional hub for photography and visual arts. Accompanying this direction, Cam Ranh International Terminal (CRTC) proudly serves as the first touchpoint welcoming the global community of artists to this inspiring land.
Khanh Hoa is converging all the ideal conditions to emerge as the first "City of Photography" in Vietnam. Blessed with internationally renowned, breathtaking landscapes, combined with diverse cultural traditions and extensive experience in hosting mega-events, the province offers endless creative materials. In the current context, photography goes beyond being a popular art form; it has been identified as a powerful visual communication tool and a key driver to comprehensively boost the province's cultural industry.
To actualize this vision, a systematic and long-term strategic roadmap has been outlined. Starting with the foundational phase (2026 - 2027), the project will advance to infrastructure development and brand building (2028 - 2032), aiming for a breakthrough to become the visual arts epicenter of Southeast Asia by 2035. The spatial layout of this future photography city will be innovatively planned under a "1 core - 3 rings" structure (creativity, experience, technology) and will serve as the regular host for large-scale international photography and visual arts festivals.
The successful implementation of this model will not only forge a vibrant artistic ecosystem but also act as a magnet for global creators, investors, and tourists, significantly contributing to the province's goal of welcoming 33 million visitors by 2030. As the vital gateway for trade and tourism, Cam Ranh International Terminal (CRTC) has fully prepared its infrastructural resources to embrace this new wave. The synchronized amenities and seamless operational processes at the terminal will create a perfect stepping stone for every journey to capture the beauty of Khanh Hoa through the lens.
