After two days of exciting competition, the 3rd SeaStar Nha Trang Bay international open water swimming championship 2026 officially concluded on June 28 at the Sailing Club Nha Trang beach area. The prominent sports event, organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in collaboration with Trung Thang Tourism and Commercial Services Co., Ltd, proved its strong appeal by gathering over 1,500 amateur and professional athletes from around the world. Under ideal summer weather conditions with golden sunshine, calm seas, and crystal-clear water, the tournament created a perfect arena for swimmers to break their personal limits.
The journey to conquer the ocean was divided into various emotional stages, from the excitement of short and medium distances like 500m, relay, 1km, and 2km on the opening day of June 27, to the explosive final competition day. The most grueling and attractive highlight was the 5km and 10km long-distance challenge conquering Hon Tre island, drawing over 520 athletes who started early in the morning. Navigating the open sea for over two hours required not only physical strength and technique but also enduring willpower. This arena witnessed extraordinary efforts and absolute satisfaction from the participants; from senior domestic athletes excellently completing the long distances to international swimmers achieving high rankings, all highly praised the professional organization and the breathtaking beauty of the blue race track. Wrapping up the tournament, the Organizing Committee awarded 204 sets of medals with a total prize value of over 250 million VND to outstanding individuals and teams.
