Welcoming the inaugural Vietjet direct flight from Moscow to Cam Ranh
As the premier international aviation gateway, Cam Ranh International Terminal (CRTC) proudly co-hosted a vibrant welcome event for the first direct flight operated by a Vietnamese airline connecting the Russian capital to Khanh Hoa.
On the afternoon of September 23, 2026, the arrival terminal at CRTC was filled with excitement as we, in collaboration with the Khanh Hoa Tourism Promotion Center, Anex Vietnam, and Vietjet Air, welcomed flight VJ 5074. Departing from Sheremetyevo International Airport (Moscow), the wide-body aircraft carrying nearly 370 passengers touched down safely at 14:50, marking a special milestone in the aviation connectivity between the two nations.
While Russian carriers already operate routes to Cam Ranh, this event is highly significant as Vietjet becomes the first Vietnamese airline to fly directly from Moscow to Khanh Hoa. This flight brings the presence of the Vietnamese national flag to one of the region's most crucial international tourist markets. The robust demand is evident: in the first 8 months of 2026 alone, Khanh Hoa welcomed 851,390 Russian tourists, a remarkable 3.05-fold increase compared to the same period last year, strongly contributing to the province's total of 6.3 million international arrivals.
Stepping into the international terminal, passengers were instantly immersed in a festive atmosphere featuring traditional Lion dances, fresh flowers, and meaningful souvenirs.
