Almost 1.4 Million Passengers Travel Through Dublin Airport in November

Almost 1.4 million passengers travelled through Dublin Airport in November, a -38% drop when compared to pre-COVID19 levels, but an increase of 175,000 passengers when compared to 2020.

Passenger volumes to and from Continental Europe were down 28% when compared with November 2019 with more than 781,000 passengers travelling to European destinations last month, versus 680,000 in the same month last year.

UK traffic was down by 42% when compared to pre COVID levels as 483,000 passengers travelled to and from Britain in November this year. This is an increase of 435,000 when compared to November 2020.

Passenger volumes to and from North America are still down by -63%, as 97,000 passengers travelled on transatlantic routes in November when compared to pre Covid levels in 2019. Dublin Airport saw an increase of 80,000 passengers travelling to and from North America in November 2021 year versus the same period last year.

Other international passenger traffic to the Middle East is still down by -58%, as 25,000 passengers travelled during the month compared with 2019 but has increased by 18,000 when compared to 2020.

The number of passengers flying on domestic routes is down by -5%, as 7,000 passengers travelled this route sector last month compared to November 2019, an increase of 5,000 when compared with last year.

7.3 million passengers have travelled through Dublin Airport in the first eleven months of this year, representing -76% decrease when compared to pre COVID levels in 2019, and a modest increase of 2% when compared with the same period in 2020
