Over 3 Million Passengers Travelled Through Dublin Airport in July

Just over 3 million passengers travelled through Dublin Airport in July, an increase of 2.4 million passengers when compared to 2021 and 89% of the passenger numbers seen pre-pandemic in July 2019.

More than 15 million passengers have travelled through Dublin Airport in the first seven months of 2022, representing an increase of 788% versus last year and around 80% of 2019 levels.

In July, passenger volumes to and from Continental Europe saw an increase of 1.3 million versus the same month last year. That number was down by just -6% when compared with July 2019.

UK traffic reached almost 739,000 in July – an increase of 621,000 on the same month last year and was around 79% of July 2019 traffic.

Passenger volumes to and from North America were at 92% of July 2019 levels, as 446,000 passengers travelled on transatlantic routes. Dublin Airport saw an increase of 384,000 passengers travelling to and from North America in July 2022 versus the same period last year.

Other International passenger traffic to totalled 78,000, which was 63,000 more than travelled in July 2021, but 30% lower than in July 2019.

Domestic passengers have increased by 32% versus 2019, to 14,000. This was also almost 13,500 higher than last year.
