Traffic report of Berlin Airports: Final winter flight schedule for Berlin's Schoenefeld and Tegel airports has commenced

A total of 22,240,423 passengers were transported at Berlin's airports during the period of January to November, an increase of 7.4 per cent compared to the same period the previous year. 1,901,840 passengers were recorded in November, which is 1.8 per cent more than in the same month the previous year.

At Tegel Airport, a total of 15,661,190 passengers have been recorded since the beginning of the year – a growth of 12.2 per cent compared to the same period the previous year. The introduction of the air traffic tax continues to have a negative impact on the traffic figures for Schoenefeld Airport. A total of 6,579,233 passengers were recorded from January to November, a decrease of 2.6 per cent. Air freight has grown by 16.5 per cent from January to November to a total of 28,731 tonnes.

Traffic figures for November

Schoenefeld Airport recorded 521,091 passengers in November. This equates to a decrease of 8.4 per cent compared to the same month the previous year. At Tegel Airport, 1,380,749 passengers were recorded in November, an increase of 6.3 per cent.

Air freight grew in November to 2,565 tonnes, an increase of 1.4 per cent compared to the same month the previous year. The number of flight movements at Schoenefeld and Tegel airports went down in November to 19,809, a decrease of 2.0 per cent compared to the same month the previous year.
