New Air Berlin service from Berlin to Tel Aviv

Air Berlin expands service network / Twice weekly flight to Israel

Berlin and Tel Aviv now enjoy even better connections: Air Berlin has just launched a twice-weekly direct service from Berlin-Tegel to Tel Aviv. This bustling Mediterranean city is the country's business capital and has plenty to offer for holidaymakers. The vibrant nightlife and a five-kilometre beach right in the middle of the city give Tel Aviv its distinctive character and appeal.

"We are delighted that Air Berlin, which is Berlin Airports' biggest customer, has added three new destinations to its Berlin flight schedule this year: Krakow, Oslo, and now Tel Aviv. The continual expansion of its service network makes Air Berlin a strong partner with whom we are very happy to work to establish the new Capital City Airport BBI as a key hub and gateway to the East," said Professor Rainer Schwarz, Chief Executive Officer of Berlin Airports.

"The increase in air traffic between our two countries is an expression of the German-Israeli friendship and the great mutual interest in the history and culture that exists between our two nations. Air Berlin is pleased to be launching today this highly attractive new scheduled service between Berlin and Tel Aviv", said Matthias von Randow, Director Global Traffic Rights & Political Affairs Air Berlin.

The airline's new service departs on Tuesdays at 22:40 and Thursdays at 21:50 from Berlin and arrives on the following day at 3:45 and 2:55 respectively in Tel Aviv.
