The 22nd edition of the Algarve Cup attracts players and fans to the Algarve
The cup was won for the 10th time by team USA
For first time finalists France, the result was perhaps not the desired on, with team USA winning 2-0 (goals by Julie Johnston and Christen Press). Germany reached third place and Portugal achieving 11th.
Running its 22nd edition, the Algarve Cup is now a permanent fixture on the female football tours and one which brings much attention to the region for its sporting infrastructures and to the sport which is gaining popularity.
