Getting to Messe Frankfurt
Many of the Recommended Hotels are just a short walk from Messe Frankfurt. If you are staying in a hotel further away we recommend travelling to Messe Frankfurt by public transport or taxi. This guide will help you plan your journey.
Complimentary public transportation pass
Routes World delegates will have exclusive access to complimentary RMV public transportation passes during their stay in Frankfurt. These can be used from Monday 19 October – Saturday 24 October (inclusive).

- Once inside the Messe, you can reach Routes World in Hall 8 by:
- Shuttle bus (5 minutes), or
- Covered walkway (15 minutes)

- Walk to Fußgängerbrücke Messe West (Footbridge Messe West) View on Google Maps . Enter via the upper level Walking Entrance at Hall 9.
- Once inside the Messe it's a five-minute walk to Entrance Galleria to access Routes World in Hall 8.

When travelling to Frankfurt Messe from city centre hotels, we recommend travelling by taxi or public transport:
Travelling by public transport
- Take tram line 16 or 17 or U-Bahn line U4 to Festhalle/Messe
- Enter via Entrance Ludwig-Erhard-Anlage (next to the Maritim Hotel Frankfurt) View on Google Maps
- Once inside the Messe take the shuttle bus (5 minutes), or covered walkway (15 minutes) to Routes World in Hall 8.
Arriving by taxi
Request drop-off at the Entrance Galleria for the most convenient access to Hall 8.

- Ensure you have downloaded your complimentary RMV pass. Find out more
- From airport arrivals follow directions to "All trains"
- Go to platform/track/"Gleis" 1 and board train S8 (towards Offenbach Ost) or train S9 (towards Hanau Hauptbahnhof)
- Alight at Frankfurt (Main) Hauptbahnhof (main station)
- Transfer to platform/track/"Gleis" 104 and board train S3, S4, S5, or S6
- Alight at Frankfurt (Main) Messe
- Proceed to Entrance Torhaus and follow directions to Hall 8.
Accessing Routes World at Messe Frankfurt
The following Messe Frankfurt entrances will be used for Routes World:
- Entrance Ludwig-Erhard-Anlage – if walking from hotels to the east, or travelling by tram or U-Bahn.
- This entrance is next to the Maritim Hotel Frankfurt. If arriving at this entrance by taxi request drop-off at Maritim Hotel Frankfurt.
- This is also the main entrance for the Welcome Reception and Networking Evening.
- Entrance at Hall 9 – to access Entrance Galleria via Hall 9 upper level walkway, when arriving on foot from hotels to the west of the venue. This is accessed via Fußgängerbrücke Messe West (footbridge).
- Entrance Galleria (from taxi drop-off)
- Entrance Torhaus (accessed via Frankfurt (Main) Messe S-Bahn station)
