ANA Adds 3-Class Boeing 787 Aircraft; Planned 787 Service to Munich from Sep 2013

ANA is introducing 2nd variation of long-haul configuration on board its Boeing 787-8 aircraft, which sees the Star Alliance member adding Premium Economy Class (Row 15 – 17) section, while Economy (Row 20 – 31) configuration changes from 2-4-2 to 3-3-3. The 2nd long-haul configuration sees 46 Business Class, 21 Premium Economy Class and 102 Economy Class seats. The 169-seater Boeing 787 aircraft is to enter Tokyo Haneda – Frankfurt route on selected days.

On Frankfurt route, Premium Economy is sold as Economy Class on temporary basis.

In addition, the Star Alliance member plans to operate Boeing 787-8 aircraft on Tokyo Narita – Munich route from 01SEP13, replacing Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, according to its Sep 2013 timetable (Page 57 in PDF form). Although the airline continues to display Boeing 777 service in its inventory, reservation for First Class as well as Discounted (fare in) Business Class is closed.
