New Japan/Russia Bilateral deal

Japan and Russia has reached a newly-revised bilateral deal last week.

The main deals were:

*Removal of limiting numbers of codeshare flights between Japan and Europe that flies over Siberia;
*Japanese carrier will now have access to 140 weekly flights flying over Siberia, up from 108 weekly;

*20 weekly flights to Japan by AEROFLOT is being re-designated as it only uses 12 right now. Transaero will now receive 2 weekly frequencies and AirBridgeCargo will get 1 to Tokyo Narita.

*Scrapping or lowering the Siberia flyover fee for Japanese carriers will continue to be discussed over the course of future meetings, as the European carriers pays lower fees compared to its Japanese rival.
