Long haul operations out of ATH
SkyGreece Airlines, has announced the launch of its transatlantic flights from Athens and Thessaloniki to the US and Canada on a press conference addressed to media representatives at Royal Olympic Hotel on April 22nd 2015.
SkyGreece Airlines, is the New Greek Airline founded by expatriates businessmen, with the vision to reconnect Greece with the US and Canada with direct transatlantic flights all year around!
SkyGreece Airlines, will operate its flights, with a Boeing 767-300ER, with 274 seats configuration, named “Taxiarchis” and an Airbus A340-300, with 300 seats named "Agios Dimitrios", both certified with all aviation safety standards (EASA, USA FAA, CANADA CTA) and with the Greek flag as their livery!
The first flight from Athens to Toronto will take off in May 24th while the first flight from Thessaloniki to Toronto via in Budapest will launch June 18th.
On June 19th the first flight from Athens will land to New York!
Father Nicholas Alexandris, president and accountable manager of the company, stated that SkyGreece, is an "outbreak" of Hellenism of the Diaspora; SkyGreece, is the vehicle of the Greek hospitality, tradition, culture and the Greek flag.
Mr. Bill Alefantis, the airline’s CCO, mentioned the strategic partnership of SkyGreece with BH Air that, further enhances its flight operations by strengthening its presence at Eastern Europe and the Balkans.

Ms. Elena Kountoura, minister of tourism expressed the support of the government and the great endeavor of SkyGreece Airlines to join Greece with the abroad Greeks of North America. She pointed out that SkyGreece’s livery, the wavy Greek flag on its tail, is the greatest promotion for Greece.
